John Repp

LOST

When someone lost
has been found, who
has been found? Not
the one lost, not
the one seeking
the lost one, who swirls
a foot in cool water,
always the center
of bright circles,
a hot blue haze
on the far shore.

John Repp's poems appear in recent issues of Poetry, Michigan Quarterly Review, Theodate and Diode, among others. He is a frequent contributor to the book section of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
