Charlie Newman

(UNTITLED)

death walks this way:
one foot in front of the other
the way you walk
the way I walk
the way lovers walk
except we don't have
that industrial I Ching
dangling from our waists
jangling in the sweaty air
giving our every step
the weight of sanctified history
