Fall/Winter 2017

Adam Jameson

Weak grounder to 3rd.
Runner waits for the throw to 1st.

O’Hara fires a dart to 1st.

The dugout screams 4!
Dawson wheels and throws
a low liner home.

Cole is up the line a foot
or two just like I taught him.

Through the dust and crowd
I hear the ump yelling “Show
me the ball!”

I turn to spit tobacco juice and
the roar of our fans tells me
what I already know.

Adam Jameson was born and raised in Pittsburg Kansas. He currently works for Westar Energy as an Estimator. He lives in rural Pittsburg with his wife Meredith, son Cole and Scooter the Shiatzu.
