BAILEY’S HARBOR FRIDAY NIGHT

Wind churns whiskey in glasses   
liquid adhesion     unsteadies
the jetty      not quite certain
sky the boats  
sky     capsizes.

 


Denise Low’s 2018 book Shadow Light is winner of the Red Mountain Press Editor’s Choice Award. She is a former Kansas Poet Laureate. Her memoir Turtle’s Beating Heart is from University of Nebraska Press.
