THE DYING THAT BRINGS LIFE |
Six seconds to the execution
Snow leopard prowls the ledge
Visitor climbs Sandman’s stairs
Vampire bleeds her bluest vein
Peeps through keyhole while she dresses
House birds speak in tongues
Thin Skin, thin as kool aid
Thighs spot black and blue
The night keeps watch
Every breath a loan
The enemy drinks from the cat’s bowl
Merlot, cabernet, chardonnay
Horseflies howl
Saints flagellate
Try family try
Leaves burn crimson red
Jonagolds fall from orchard limbs
Never take your boots off
Stand guard in savasana
The dying that brings life
