THE LEGEND OF OLD BONES
                in memory of Old Joe

He lay down his pole
and hung up his cap.
He blew out the lantern
and lay down for a nap.

And while he was napping
a fish from nowhere
jumped out of the water
and into the air.

And he picked up his pole
and put on his cap.
He lighted the lantern
and he never looked back
