NOBODY TAKES IT ALL

Whether I have a body tomorrow depends on
whether I’ve ever had a body of
grass.
My head is the reality of others.
No home flickers like yours.
I ask for all witnesses to sleep.
You talk to a part of something beyond yourself.
I walk into a branch just to feel a single leaf.

INGEN TAGER DET HELE MED

Om jeg har en krop i morgen afhænger af  
om jeg nogensinde har haft en krop af  
græs.
Mit hoved er andres virkelighed.  
Intet hjem flimrer som dit. 
Jeg beder om at alle vidner skal sove.
Du snakker med en del af noget ud over dig selv.  
Jeg går ind i en gren blot for at mærke et enkelt blad.

 

 


Poul Lynggaard Damgaard, born on 24th December, 1977, is a Danish poet in the world, living in Aarhus, Denmark. He is a member of Danish Authors' Society,  connected to the Aarhus Centre for Literature,  and Hald Hovedgaard, the Danish Centre for Writers and Translators.
