ten eggshells

maybe ten thousand
maybe
ten million
to walk on
to reach you...

girl of love,
you cast aspersions to me
as if I were a koi fish
in your frog prince pond
and your hatred
some sort of foul bread

girl of love,
eggshells,
bread,
a banquet
I would eat 
if it would 
return to me your 
sacred affection.
