Fall/Winter 2016

Lynne Thompson

     transformed: blue flower
the body is not an allegory—
history doesn’t fall, we fall through history
     the raptor’s face hovers
in the storm.  There are worse ways.
    Stop shaking.
     Pretend there’s a choice.

Lynne Thompson is the author of two full-length poetry collections, Beg No Pardon, winner of the Perugia Press Prize and the Great Lakes Colleges Associationís New Writers Award, and Start With A Small Guitar (What Books Press). In 2015, she was awarded an Individual Artist Fellowship from the City of Los Angeles where she resides.
