snake-back carrier of dreams
thunderclapping music, somersaulting
wisdom searching for open doors
like a sunset gone into sea
gri-gri stone eater of broken lightbulbs
penetrating the dark
alone, like a panther, all luminous,
& hope a hole in the sky, a red omen moon
in the bone & blood spirit of gut-bucket blues
combing back through my memories
